Breastography

My friend Oniatta asked me to sponsor a portrait exhibition for the Breastfeeding Mothers Support Group. The event is called Breastography. It was quite trying with shooting so many babies in one day. But I think that the results were worth it. I think what I learnt in Chicago also helped me a lot in this shoot.

beautiful images! did you cut out the background though?

Hi Sharon, I did not cut out the backgrounds. It was from lighting a white background evenly.

Hi Heng!

I like this set alot. Nice and natural. Not really particular 100% what is it..but the toning on those black and whites are really top notch.

Hi Edwin,

Thanks. I was very happy about this shoot for various reasons. One was that I used the Greg Gorman bw warm tone conversion and it worked like a treat. Check out his web site for the actions.

I have learnt more about lighting in Chicago and managed to create the dramatic lighting without too much hassle.

And I am clearer in my vision and was able to get the mothers to pose the way I wanted, giving a very natural feel. There is a technique to this vision expression too.

Hi Heng...

What do u mean by technique to this vision expression??

Yup, downloaded the black & conversion tool n tutorial. I think one of the primary difference is this tool allows us more control..
